Alyssa Sandman Malin is a seasoned New York City real estate attorney with two decades of experience navigating the intricate landscape of multifamily housing law. As the founder and principal of Sandman Malin PLLC, she offers clients unparalleled insight into the regulatory frameworks that govern New York City's multifamily sector.
Ms. Malin's career encompasses a diverse array of roles in multifamily, including seven years as General Counsel at A&E Real Estate, one of NYC's largest multifamily property owners. At Belkin Burden Goldman, LLP, a premier NYC real estate law firm, Ms. Malin honed her expertise in rent stabilization, fair housing, land use, and property tax exemption programs such as 421-a and J-51 as she represented clients before a variety of regulators including DHCR, HPD, DOB, and the NYS Attorney General’s Office. Earlier in her career, she served in DHCR’s Legal Affairs Department, providing her with a comprehensive understanding of regulatory processes from within.

Throughout her practice, Ms. Malin has represented a broad spectrum of clients, including large institutional investors and lenders, small property owners, and nonprofit organizations.
